One of the most common questions I am asked every week is how do I get a web site.
A web site is based on a few different products that work together to form a web site. Keep in mind that not all web sites are created equal. Some are just simple directories that will render html under certain circumstances. These kind of sites usually cannot run advanced programs that monitor your traffic or provide services to your visitors.
The kind of web sites I am talking about and using are full blown dedicated and shared hosting web sites with complete libraries like php and perl libraries, dynamic error pages, mail servers and at least 20 email addresses, sql servers and a host of other features that you will need if your site grows and gathers more visitors.
Here is a list of items you will need and my recommendations about where to get them. Keep in mind that some of these companies pay me to recommend their services. You do not pay for this, they do. It will not increase the amount you will ever pay and you have one more place to go when you need to ask questions.
1. You need a domain name. yoursite.com. This site is called mountainstudios.net. You can get a domain for yourself for about $9.00 a year. I highly recommend you go to GoDaddy.com. when you get there you can search for available names and purchase them right there. Don't worry about your web space yet, you can park the domain at GoDaddy and use your account user name and password to login and redirect your new domain to your web space later. we can do this for you too, so no worries.
2. You need web space. This is space on a web server somewhere where you can upload your web pages and programs and bring your site to life. I have used many different Internet Service providers (ISPs), and there is one that I highly recommend. I have used these guys for years and they are very good quality providers. When you have a problem, you can get help right away.
Get your site at Glowhost.com. Just click on the banner ad below to go to their site. Once you get there you will have several choices for web space. The different plans are based on what you are going to do with your web site.
If you are going to have a simple brochure type site you can probably go with their shared hosted budget plans.
These are simple sites that can go down for a few minutes from time to time. They are not meant for ecommerce selling or any mission critical sites. They are simple, cost effective, reliable sites that offer a great bargain. I used this type of site of years until I added ecommerce system and needed higher reliability.
The Advanced 3, 4 and 5 star sites will offer greater reliability and more space. Most sites do not need this kind of space, however if you are going to add video, lots of pictures or you want to host additional sites, these advanced sites will offer more.
You can always upgrade to a higher level of service at any time. If you think you need something more than these types of hosting plans, then we should probably talk before hand. Send me an email or use the contact form above.
With those two things you can start your site and begin to experience publishing on the web. You can always add cool new features like a chat room, a talk forum, a picture gallery, a subscription service to allow certain people to gain access to hidden areas of your site and many other options.
Please notice we do not build gambling, pornographic or hate oriented sites. Other than that, we can help you with almost anything else you need.
If you are looking for a great internet marketing course, here is a very good one. This is the same course I used when I first started. Whenever they revise this course, I automatically spend about 147.00 and buy another copy. With just a few sales you can make your investment back and keep all the knowledge you gained.

Highly recommended.
If you are looking for a world class autoresponder, this is it! I use this program for most of my automated email responses. If you are going to sell eBooks and provide user anmes and passwords in real time, this program is a must. it works hand in hand with the next one too.
Keep in mind I use all of these programs and paid full price for all of them.
If you want to sell eBooks, this is also a highly recommended program. This program runs my entire eBook program at uncletim.com. it is highly stable and easy to use. After you create an eBook or two, you will quickly see how to build them, how to assign usernames and passwords to each eBook and how to check to see how many times each one is registered. You have full control over the ebook at all times, even after they download it and open it by registering.
Highly recommended.
